How did Salisbury Beach and Plum Island change from inhospitable barrier beaches into popular beach destinations? And why are they so different? Join us for slideshow lecture on the history of the Merrimack River’s two barrier beaches at 7 p.m. on March 29 at the Nevins Memorial Library, 305 Broadway, Methuen. We’ve presented this lecture three times in Newburyport, each time to standing-room-only audiences. This is our first presentation in the greater Lawrence area.
The event is free. Please come early as we expect we will have a large attendance.
