Second State of the Waters Conference Set for June 16
The follow-on to last year’s successful first annual State of the Waters Conference will be a second State of the Waters Conference, which this year is set for June 16 at the Nashua Regional Planning Commission in Nashua, N.H. Details will follow, but we are inviting groups and agencies who’ve made a strong commitment to stewardship of the Merrimack River Watershed to present their work in a round-table setting, and discuss future challenges. Particular emphasis will be placed on issues related to stormwater pollution, EPA’s new stormwater regulations, and the use of green infrastructure to address the problem of polluted runoff. We’re hoping that, like last year, we’ll have a good mix of NGOs, land trusts, planning commissions, state and federal agencies. Seating is limited, so potential participants are urged to contact Executive Director Rusty Russell (firstname.lastname@example.org) very soon.
